Fashion Design Course

Create your own original fashion line with our Fashion Design course. In this course will take you on a journey from the study and analysis of fashion to the practical realization of your line, through the design of beautiful sketches, giving life to everything that is fashion.

If you believe that fashion is for you, with us you’ll develop a specific and multifaceted sensitivity regarding everything that makes up fashion, including new trends, technical-stylistic elements of the garments, influences from the history of costume, and first theoretical approaches to working methodology and planning of collections. Enter the fashion world as a professional, and become a designer and stylist!

From anatomy to color, passing through the study of fabric and the history of fashion, and depending on your specific interests and chosen themes, it’ll be possible to concentrate on specific topics, and go deeper into what most interests you: you can analyze the history of costume, study a specific stylist in-depth, concentrate on the preparation of a presentation “book”, or dedicate yourself to the design of accessories, bags and shoes.

Program

The course develops through an in-depth journey that touches on various subjects:

• Study of human anatomy using simple drawings
• Study of the various positions of the human body and techniques for the construction of the figure
• Analysis of anatomical design and the creation of graphic and figure bases from which to be able to develop sketches and fashion illustrations
• Learning about and experimenting with various color techniques ( Pantone, colored pencils, watercolors, chalks, etc. )
• Explaining and experimenting with techniques to visualize different types of fabric
• Theoretical explanation of the usual working methodology used for the development of a collection in large fashion houses
• Development of a fashion collection according to creative design methods
• Choice and development of a theme according to the Phased design method:
  • Phase 1: Creative research phase through magazines, newspapers, books, catalogs, or photos taken by the student herself/himself around the city
  • Phase 2: Trend-analysis phase, creating a mood board that demonstrates the research done on the chosen theme
  • Phase 3: Theme development through fashion drawings and illustrations
  • Phase 4: Data sheets with technical drawings
  • Phase 5: Design and creation of page layouts for the collection
  • Phase 6: Presentation of the collection
