Florence, also called the City of Art, is an ideal location to study the Renaissance due to its status as the birthplace of this pivotal period in art history. Our Art History course covers an extensive array of artworks and artists throughout history, including important Masters from the Middle Ages to Contemporary Art. We will analyze and explore the various trends and works of these artists through three aspects: their artistic techniques, their relationship with society, and the philosophical background of both the artist and the commisioner.

This Basic level art history course includes the issuing of a Certificate, and is available in both Italian and English.
