Stone Setting Intensive Course (three months)

In this Stone Setting Intensive course you’ll learn a complex technique necessary to carry out the daily work of a goldsmith, whether you are a young apprentice or an expert craftsperson.

Enter a well-equipped goldsmith’s workshop, and learn the art of setting gems, through demonstrations and exercises that will cover all the stages of metal setting, using semi-finished silver, and synthetic stones, predominantly high-quality cubic zirconia, offering a perfect imitation of actual precious stones.

The techniques taught are related to the great Florentine style, both classic and contemporary. Starting with relatively simple embedding techniques, such as bezels and claws, you’ll soon advance to more complex work, such as pavé.
