Decoration on Wood Workshop

Learn to transform an anonymous piece of wood, or an old piece of furniture into a work of art with our Decoration on Wood course.

You’ll immerse yourself in an ancient and wonderful art, which will result in you developing a new and deeper relationship with this versatile and natural material, to the point where you’ll be able to create your own beautiful decorations.

From the preparation of the wood to working on it, using monochrome for bas-relief, “Shabby” style, Craquelè, Arte Povera and the Venetian style… the possibilities offered by this art are many, and you’ll be able to fully explore them together with our master craftsmen.

Program

Wood preparation, “ammanitura” ( pre-gold leaf basecoat )

Explanation with practical demonstration for the reproduction of various materials such as marble, wood and fabrics by means of acrylic or oil paints.

Monochrome technique for the reproduction of bas-relief.

“Shabby” technique, Craquelè, Arte Povera and the Venetian style.
